wow I feel like you are my angel, you have answered and cleared my mind from so many questions. i wish i could speak to you whenever i feel that being in architecture is a frustation for me.
yey its my first day in college life! a took the program of architechture.
well dont u think its pretty important?? cause i mean u have to make houses that stand up, not houses that’ll fallin down, right?
its very essential to an architect to know the basic structural engineering (loads, Strength of materials , etc) because architects should note the allowable stresses, bearings etc. it should comply within the min. and max. allowances in designing a structure- so when an engr looks up on yer design-he/she will not look down on ya
no
its denver the last dinosaur
I’m that Pablo! Thanks a lot for the info. It’s really helpful
I thought I wanted to be an actor too. lol
Went from visual art, to performing arts, then back to my first love.
your still the best
i dont think it is much. my university course so far has told me that structural knowledge is important in the design process, so that you basically dont design some super ridiculous building that will never stand up. otherwise a structural engineer should check that ur designs work.
well thats what im told
how important is structural engineering knowledge in architecture?
interesting
hey doug, people who give run downs of who they are like this, is very inspirational, uhm, im just really curiously itching to know what your product design firm involved.
Your videos are the best. Keep it up Doug!!!
is that barney on the back??
i think found a new role model again !
GREAT!!!!!
keep these videos up!
love them!
Exellent video thank you very much Doug
It’s much more creative doing product design and it takes a fraction of the time for one to see the end result than architecture. I’m glad Doug sounds positive about this profession, but thinkk about it, why he would sell his business and do something else ?
This video really helped. Thanks for making it.
All I can say is thank you so much on all of your videos I’ve wanted to become an architect for a long time and you’ve made things a lot clearer for me
Thank You!
I really have respect for u and look up to u, i am trying to become an architect as well and know that i still have a long was to go seeing as how i am a senior in high school, i switched between engineering and architecture classes but im not completly positive which one im going for yet. I really like architecture for design and how buildings look but u said its alot of paperwork, i think im willing to go through all of that plus years of college if its all worth it and rewarding in the end
i would love to see you work on a real project. just to see how an architect may work. starting from client meeting to handing over.
wow, all I have to say is that I really admire you!!!
i look up to you Mr. Patt, you are so talented=)!!
some day i want to be as half as good as you=)
most informative and down to earth video of architecture ive seen so far. It really gives insight to many, if not all; general archi questions. thanks alot Patt!
I really enjoy every single one of your videos Mr. Patt. Please keep them coming!
