A short documentary about master violin maker David Gusset of Eugene, Oregon. He’s the only American luthier to ever win Cremona, Italy’s triennial Antonio Stradivari competition, sometimes called the Olympics of instrument making. The film follows his process as he constructs a replica of a violin originally made by Stradivari, a Renaissance master whose original instruments sell for millions of dollars at auction.
