    This software is similar to HGTV Home and Landscape but without the landscape portion. It is neat to look at different types of cabinets, staircases, sinks, etc to get an idea of what you might like in the home. The 3d imaging is also a cool feature.

    HGTV has done it again! Design your own kitchen or redesign your house with this software. It has all the elements needed to make you a master at design.

    Pros: It is neat to see your own photos used, it helped me come up with alternate ideas that I never would have thought of on my own, it was not as difficult to use as I had feared

    Cons: It does require that you take the time to learn the program. I definitely relied on the manual a few times to get out of a jam! Still, I am grateful that they didn’t “dumb down” this program fearing people would think it was too hard. If so, it wouldn’t nearly have as many options.

    With our first baby on the way, my husband and I had a lot of changes to prepare for – and a big one was designing a nursery. The HGTV Home Design & Remodeling software made this task a breeze. From the minute we installed the software, we knew we’d found a high quality product that was not only easy to use, but also provided realistic 3-D technology, allowing us to visualize the final room.

    Unlike other software programs, we were able to upload an actual photo of our existing room and use the software’s “Easy Room Makeover” feature to transform our boring guest room into the nursery of our dreams. I highly recommend this software for any home design project.

    Someday I WILL build my dream home. . . and to help me visualize my goal, I wanted to be able to “see” my dream come to life. Though I’m still learning all of the intricacies of the software, this is program is helping me to create a custom home from scratch with everything I want.

    It makes a big difference to actually see how a room will look with different types of countertop/cabinet/flooring combinations rather than guessing how they will look together. I learned my lesson the hard way in the past with paint. . . it looked great on the paint chip, but on the wall it looked horrendous! The last thing I want to do is to invest in building materials that I’m disappointed with after they are installed. This is allowing me to “see” what the room will look like without making costly mistakes!
